오픽 (OPIc) 배경설문 (3) - 음악감상하기 스크립트

오픽 배경설문주제 시리즈로 준비했습니다.

 

오늘은 취미에서 가장 많이 선택하시는 주제인 ‘음악감상하기’에 대한 스크립트를 작성해 보려고 합니다.

워낙 많이 선택하시는 주제이고, 또 취미에서는 음악감상 빼고는 고를 주제가 없기도 해서

더 준비하고 알아두어야 시험 보실 때 매끄럽게 하실 수 있어요.

 

 

음악감상은 또한 공연보기, 콘서트가기 그리고 악기연주하기와 같은 주제로도 함께 엮을 수 있습니다.

 

음악감상은 기출문제를 6개를 준비해 보았는데요,

레벨에 따라서 다양하게 나올 수 있어 다양하게 익혀보는 게 좋을 것 같습니다.

 

 

1.  You indicated in the survey that you like to listen to music. What kind of music do you like and when do you usually listen to it? Where do you get your music? Give as many details as you can.

 

I really like listening to American pop songs.

I enjoy listening to music when I'm doing everyday tasks like cleaning my house or going for a walk.

-> 나는 청소나 산책같은 매일의 일과를 할 때 음악을 즐겨 듣는다.

I also like to listen to music before going to bed, as it helps me relax and wind down.

I usually get my music from streaming services like Spotify or Apple Music,

-> 나는 보통 A나 B와 같은 스트리밍 서비스를 이용해 음악을 듣는다.

but sometimes I'll also buy CDs or download songs online.

I like to discover new music by checking out playlists on the streaming platforms

and listening to recommendations from friends.

Music is a big part of my life and it helps me stay positive and energized.

-> 음악은 내 삶의 큰 부분을 차지하며, 내가 긍정적이고 에너지를 유지하도록 도와준다.

 

2.  What kind of musical devices do you use when you listen to music? When and where do you listen to music using them?

 

I usually listen to music on my smartphone.

I like using my phone because it's easy to access my music library and it's very portable.

-> 나는 내 휴대폰을 사용해 음악을 듣는 것을 좋아하는데 내 음악 리스트에 액세스 하는 게 쉽고 가지고 다니기 편해서이다.

I listen to music using my phone when I'm doing things like going for a walk, working out at the gym,

or traveling on a bus or a train.

I also like to listen to music before going to sleep to help me relax.

I use my earbuds or headphones when listening to music so that I can have a more immersive experience

and avoid disturbing others around me.

-> 나는 음악을 들을 때 내 이어폰이나 헤드폰을 사용한다

Using my smartphone to listen to music is convenient and enjoyable for me, and it helps me stay motivated throughout the day.

-> 내 스마트폰을 사용해서 음악을 듣는 것은 편하다.

 

3.  You indicated in the survey that you like listening to music. How has your taste in music changed throughout the years?

 

My taste in music has changed quite a bit over the years.

-> 내 음악 취향은 지난 몇년동안 조금 변했다.

When I was younger, I really enjoyed listening to Korean pop songs because they were catchy and had a unique sound.

However, as I got older, I started to listen to American pop songs more because they felt more relatable to me.

I also started to discover other genres like rock and electronic music, which broadened my musical horizons.

-> 나는 또한 락이나 전자음악과 같은 다른 장르들도 발견하기 시작했다.

I think my taste in music is still evolving, and I'm always open to trying out new artists and genres.

-> 나는 내 음악 취향이 계속해서 변하고 있다고 생각한다.

Music is a really powerful way to connect with other people and express yourself,

-> 음악은 사람들을 연결해주는 엄청난 방법이다.

and I'm grateful to have the opportunity to explore so many different styles of music.

 

4.  Please tell me about your favorite singer. What kind of music does he or she sing? Why do you like him or her?

 

My favorite singer is Charlie Puth. He is an American singer-songwriter who creates pop music.

I like his music because it's catchy, upbeat, and has meaningful lyrics.

-> 나는 그의 음악이 A,B 그리고 C 하기 때문에 좋아한다.

He has a really unique voice that sets him apart from other pop singers, and I appreciate that he writes and produces most of his own songs.

One of my favorite songs of his is "Attention," which has a great groove and a fun, sassy vibe.

-> 그의 노래중 내가 가장 좋아하는 곡 중 하나는 A이다.

I also like how he incorporates elements of jazz and R&B into his music, which gives it a bit of a retro feel.

-> 나는 또한 그가 재즈나 R&B음악을 그의 음악에 넣는 것을 좋아한다.

Overall, I think Charlie Puth is a really talented artist and I enjoy listening to his music whenever I need a pick-me-up.

 

**** "Pick-me-up" is a colloquial expression that means something that lifts one's mood or energy level, usually in a temporary way. 

 

5. Tell me about a time when you went to listen to some live music, such as a concert or a live café. What was the mood like and how did you like the music you listened to there?

 

When I was a teenager, I went to a concert for the first time with my friends.

-> 나는 10대 시절 친구와 함께 콘서트에 처음 갔다.

It was really exciting because I had never experienced live music before.

The atmosphere was electric, with so many people dancing and singing along to the music.

-> 분위기는 A 했다.

The band that played was a local indie group, and I really enjoyed their music even though I wasn't familiar with all of their songs.

I liked the energy that the lead singer brought to the stage, and the way the instruments sounded live was so much better than listening to a recording.

-> 나는 리드 싱어가 무대로 가져오는 그 에너지가 좋았다.

It was definitely an unforgettable experience, and it made me appreciate the power of music to bring people together and create a sense of community.

-> 정말 잊을 수 없는 경험이었다.

Although I haven't been to a concert since then, it's still one of my favorite memories.

-> 그때 이후로 콘서트에 가지 못했지만,

 

6.  Now, pick two singers or composers you like. What is special about their music? What are some similarities and differences between the two singers or composers?

 

Two artists I really like are Charlie Puth and Westlife.

-> 내가 정말 좋아하는 두 명의 가수는 A와 B이다.

While they both make pop music, their styles are quite different.

Charlie Puth is an American singer-songwriter who often incorporates elements of jazz and R&B into his music, while Westlife is an Irish boy band known for their ballads and harmonies.

Charlie Puth writes and produces most of his own songs, while Westlife usually works with a team of songwriters.

One similarity between the two is that they both have catchy melodies and lyrics that are easy to sing along to.

-> 그 둘의 공통점 중 하나는, 그들 둘 다 A와 B를 가지고 있다는 것이다.

Another similarity is that they both have a lot of fans around the world.

-> 또 다른 공통점은 그들 둘다 전 세계에 많은 팬들이 있다는 점이다.

However, Westlife tends to have a more romantic and sentimental feel to their music, while Charlie Puth's music is often more upbeat and playful.

Overall, I think they're both great in their own way, and it's interesting to compare and appreciate the unique aspects of their music.

 

음악감상도 역시 개인적인 견해가 많이 들어갈 수 있는 주제여서 위에 나온 하이라이트 표현들을 이용해서 스크립트를 만들어 보시기 바랍니다.

 

저는 개인적으로 생각나는 가수가 없어서 그냥 요즘 많이들 좋아하시는 가수로 선택해 보았어요.
